Description
AQUACEL® Ag Advantage Surgical Dressing, 3.5" x 4", is a sterile postoperative wound dressing designed to support surgical incision management and antimicrobial protection. The dressing features an inner wound contact layer composed of sodium carboxymethylcellulose fiber impregnated with 1.2% ionic silver, along with ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid disodium salt (EDTA) and benzethonium chloride.
The dressing is constructed with a hydrocolloid adhesive border and an outer polyurethane film layer that helps provide secure fixation and external barrier protection. The absorbent Hydrofiber® pad conforms closely to the wound surface, assisting in exudate management and maintaining intimate wound contact. Nylon and elastane stitching help reinforce the structural integrity of the dressing during wear and removal.
AQUACEL® Ag Advantage Surgical Dressing is designed to kill a broad spectrum of bacteria within the dressing, including antibiotic-resistant microorganisms. Sustained antimicrobial activity may continue for up to seven days, helping reduce microbial growth and prevent microbial reformation within the dressing environment. The sterile rectangular dressing is suitable for surgical incisions up to 1-1/2 inches in length and supports postoperative wound care protocols.
